Anything in white is non-skippable, red is personally recommended but non-essential.

Dark Avengers Annual (2010) #1

First appearance of the Protector, and also of Annie (no last name given). Not only is it essential it's also fun and interesting.

Ms. Marvel (2006) #50 [B Story]

Establishes him as the Protector more, also he is just so so freaking cute in this one.

Avengers (2010) #2-#15, #17, #19-#21, #24-#25

People will argue to death about Bendis Avengers, but I liked how he characterized Noh. Definitely a departure from him in Marvel Boy but I find it a believable follow-up to wanting redemption. None of these actually have very much to do with him but he is beautiful and weird etc. He does have a girlfriend which kinda is a thing that comes back. I honestly didn't read every comic he wasn't in but followed along just fine.

I Am an Avenger (2010) #2 [D Story]

The entire story is literally one page but he is just so so cute here it kills me. Please check it out.

Secret Avengers (2010) #26-#28

Part of Avengers vs. X-Men, essential knowledge is in the forward. My favorite story with the Protector, really huge for those of us who think they don't mention he's Kree enough.

Avengers (2010) #26-#27

Published right after Secret Avengers, kind of confusing in terms of how Noh actually got to this point after Secret Avengers. It's basically the same story as Secret Avengers but with the Avengers instead.

Young Avengers (2013) #1, #4-#5, #7-#9, #11-#15

I have really complicated feelings on this run in terms of his characterization, and the way it changed how he's been written since. I have just the issues he's in listed, but you do really need to read the entire run for it to make sense.

Original Sins (2014) #1-#5 [B Stories]

One of the very few times he's seen with the Young Avengers (kinda) after 2013. Only time he hung out with Prodigy after 2013 unfortunately!

Inhumans Prime (2017) #1

They show his space apartment (huge) and they give him the worst suit I've seen in my entire life. Sets up Royals.

Royals (2017) #1-#12

Also have complicated feelings about this run. On one hand I thought the actual story was boring, on the other hand they show him as a hot old man. Jokes aside he really isn't allowed much character in this run at all. It's just okay.

Inhumans: Judgment Day (2018) #1

The end to the story of Royals. More interesting than Royals. His entire time with the Inhumans is forgotten immediately after this and never matters again so don't worry about it too much.

West Coast Avengers (2018) #6-#10

Really unsure why they wanted to put him on a team with his ex-girlfriend again. Honestly not that interesting, but they made him bisexual here! Also notably includes the first appearance of Jeff the Land Shark.
